Find More About BORE.
BORE Foundation is a Ugandan non-profit civil society organization committed to transforming lives in underserved communities. Originally founded in 2018 as “Stay in School Initiative (SISI)”, BORE was officially registered and rebranded in 2024. Our work is grounded in grassroots experience, youth-led passion, and a deep love for the marginalized and minority groups across Uganda.
What started as a small group of five passionate youths in Kampala supporting 20 vulnerable children with school materials and tuition has evolved into a powerful movement for change. Today, we work across various areas of Kayunga district, reaching hundreds of children, youth, women, and families — often from local resource mobilisation.
Grounded in community-driven solutions and powered by the energy of young changemakers, BORE champions education, health, livelihood empowerment, and environmental protection for marginalized and minority groups throughout Kayunga district.

Our first partnership was with Ssezibwa Primary School in Kayunga Town Council. Today, our programs touch lives across multiple sub counties — powered by a belief in “community-driven, locally sustained solutions.” From education sponsorships to mental health advocacy and youth skills development, BORE continues to be a beacon of hope.
It started with Ssezibwa Primary School—a single partnership that showed us the power of local action. Now, we’re changing lives across Kayunga, one community at a time.
Amina, 14, once walked 5 kilometers to school. Today, thanks to BORE, she has books, a uniform, and a dream: to teach others.”
We believe in ripples of change. Educate a girl, and her family rises. Skill a youth, and a community grows. Empower a woman, and society shifts. BORE exists to spark these transformations—because a stronger Uganda begins with its people.”
